After the minimalist Lonely proved that 2NE1 are more than just  chicks who can spit out banging dance tracks they return with another digital single. Which happens to be a banging club track.

This is of course stuff that 2NE1 can do in their sleep by now and while it sounds exactly like every other current K-Pop song these days it has that swagger that only 2NE1 can bring.

Much like their other songs this is pretty damn catchy stuff and it’s difficult to not like this song unless you happen to be one of those delusional anti-fans who are hating on the exact same stuff their favorite artists are doing.

I Am The Best is also going to be the single for 2NE1′s re-entry into the Japanese market after natural disaster aborted their first attempt, with a Japanese version already slated for release.

While not as unexpected as Lonely, I Am The Best is still a great song.

The video is a definitely fitting for the song with plenty of attitude and interesting visuals.

I believe there might be some differences between the Japanese and Korean versions of I Am The Best’s video (besides language) but I really wasn’t paying that much attention. But I’m sure you can figure things out by watching the clips below.
