AKB48 On Google+

Earlier this evening (around 8 or 9 PM MST) it was announced that AKB48 have officially created a Google+ page. In addition many of the 18+ members have created accounts allowing fans to interact with them. The full list of members available to add to your circles can be found here. (you do have to be able to read their names in Japanese)

Whether you get to truly interact with the online members is subjective. It’s not like they’re gonna just let you into a hangout or anything unless they personally know your right? Or unless it’s for some sort of product pimping duty in which case they most likely have a Google+ broadcast account which allows for 10 people to interact (including the person hosting the broadcast) and the rest are spectators.

But if you have a Google+ account and haven’t been using it this may be your excuse to do so. If you don’t have one at all and are an AKB fan then this might be your motivation to create one to keep track of your favorite members.
