August 2010 Poll

Last month’s poll discussed your feelings on plagiarism accusations in K-Pop, and here are the results:

62% – Borrowing from other sources is acceptable as long as proper credit is given.
15% – I don’t care. I just want the music to be good.
15% – Other (see below)
8% – People are just being drama queens and are looking for anything to complain about.

Other answers:

  • People who live in glass houses should not throw stones (i.e. C-ute vs. EXILE)
  • It’s ‘pop’, so like the music I don’t take it that seriously

So the majority don’t mind borrowing from others as long as credit is given to the original source. And as pointed out in the “Other” answers J-Pop is also guilty of “stealing” from other sources so it’s not like we can all go nuts just because some K-Pop producers were allegedly caught in the act.

This month’s poll is below.

I have made my thoughts on this subject clear, what do you think?
