My second Indaba Music remix contest entry for April. This one is for Alkaline Trio’s I Found Away from their Agony & Irony album.

I entered another remix contest over at Indaba Music, this time working on If You’re Out There from John Legend’s Evolver album.

Indaba Music held a contest late last year inviting producers to remix all 11 tracks from k-os’ album YES! The prizes for winning each individual competition were $1000 and inclusion on the companion remix album that would be packaged with the studio version.

I stumbled upon the vocal track for this song & decided to see what I could do with it. All I knew when I started is that I wanted to do some sort of 4/4 club version & that was it. In the end the mix developed into a mainstream club type of song.
