June 2010 House Mix

Many of you long time listeners have probably been wondering why I have been all over the place lately with my mixes. Well, it was a period of experimentation, seeing what I could get away with without totally losing my entire audience. =) Well the time for experimentation is over & it’s back to what brought me to the dance in the first place.

Those of you with keen ears have probably noticed that the past few mixes have been a little off sound wise. Well due to my DJ area in my house being taken over for a while I had to do the past few sets in Ableton Live. So perhaps there were a few time stretching artifacts in some of the previous mixes that were present but not overly distracting I guess.

Anyway, it’s a return to the decks for me with this mix. I was maybe a little rusty but there’s nothing that I would consider off with this set. As I have stated before, this is a return to the Deep & Soulful House goodness that many of you have known me to play. No strange detours into Electro Pop, mainstream club or Disco House this time folks.

Enjoy!

    Hey Greg,

    Loving the mixes as always.

Guess what – back on the decks and the stereo is gone again :-(

Hope this feedback helps – ck

Hmm.. that’s some strange stuff Colin. Before I uploaded the mix I ran the WAV file through several programs to check if the signal was mono or stereo. All indications were that a stereo signal was being processed. So this never happened when I was mixing through Ableton? I’ll process the next mix through there & hopefully that will fix the issue.

      Thanks for listening.
