Review

Wild/Dr. is Namie Amuro’s 34th single.  It’s a double a-sided release of which only one song is really worthy of being considered an a-side.

That song is Wild.  The mood of the song matches its title,  its a high-energy dance track that’s kind of all over the place but in a good way.  The song hits so fast & hard that it’s hard to believe that its just a little over 3 minutes long.

I think a song like this shouldn’t just fade out & it should have been a little bit longer or at least have ended with some sort of cold stop instead.  But I liked it, definitely one of the more interesting tracks I’ve heard from Amuro in a while.  It may take some a few spins to get used to.

Dr. on the other hand doesn’t benefit from being all over the place.  It starts out rather nicely as a regular dance track but breaks off into some sort of weird stacatto, marching band type stuff at points that just completely wrecks the flow of the song.  If that part were taken out or revised I would have thought better of it.  Outside of that strange choice of arrangement the song is alright.
