Yup, it sucks a lot but it I think it would be kind of justified if all the current AX management could come up with for a guest of honor was Larry Platt.

Yes, this will most likely cause a bit of a setback when it comes to trying to book Japanese acts at AX and possibly other conventions. I guess we'll have to see if AX can manage to work out their internal issues and then hopefully book some acts without pissing them or their management off. I believe CJ at The Groove Music Life has suggested a much better alternative for Japanese acts who would like to see their fans overseas without having to go the convention route. I very much agree with what he had to say.

You hit this exactly on the head, as a business undergrad there is something people are going to have to learn about and that is everything in the U.S. will not always work and you have to sometimes conform to the other sides needs. The CEO has indeed put everybody who was willing to see Japanese music come back here into alienation and I may be taking in out of anger or grave disappointment but the CEO should step down for throwing a lot of the foundation away and maybe lead to the downfall of the Westerners seeing music acts in America

Wow, that’s pretty… geez… horrible. I hope there’s still hope for other venues though…. hopefully maybe even something on the east coast >w<
