Lovesick Girls is the lead single from BLACKPINK’s highly anticipated first full-length album simply titled THE ALBUM. Lovesick Girls is unlike many of BLACKPINK’s recent singles. It goes in a radio-friendly Dance-Pop direction rather than their trademark half-time Trap that has dominated their sound.
Lovesick Girls falls closer into the music I prefer; it was a given that I would want to try to give this song a remix treatment.
I didn’t stray too far outside the box for my interpretation and tried to add a few small twists to the song to differentiate my version from the original composition. At best, I tried to beef up the music a little by not using any acoustic instruments and changing the arrangement slightly.
The final result turned out better than expected since I had no idea what direction I was going with when I started.
