Sex Therapy is Robin Thicke’s  4th album and unlike his past, more romantic material this is a dirtier affair. (If the title didn’t already give it away) Think of a few Prince songs and you kind of have an idea of the direction this album goes in. Yup, there’s plenty of sexual innuendo to go around.

Most of Sex Therapy is full of smooth, lover man R&B slow jams like the title track, It’s In The Morning, Jus Right and I Got U. One of the best and most direct lines that describe the feel of this album comes from I Got U. “…come with me, fuck with me please.” pretty much sums it up.

For the more daring try that line on your significant other & see how far you get. I bet if you don’t have a silky smooth falsetto you’re not going to get any serious play.

For those of you with more of a Hip-Hop jones you can always listen to Meiple, Shakin It For Daddy and Elevatas to satisfy your craving. These tracks also help break up the slow jam goodness. For those who are more aggressive in the sack, perhaps these can be your soundtrack instead.

It’s not all about sex as there are a couple of really cool tracks at the end of the album (Million Dollar Baby, 2 Luv Birds and Diamonds) that are just some nice retro soul sounding gems.

While Sex Therapy may lay on the whole “I want to fuck you until we both pass out” kind of vibe a little too thick (no pun intended) it does have have a lot very good songs. If you’re up for some quality R&B give this a go.
