Selective Hearing’s 2014 Year in Review: The Ramblings of Greg

Site Business

It’s mostly been business as usual for me in 2014. You know, keeping the site alive and doing all that administrative work behind the scenes in addition to my normal writing duties here. We entered into an official partnership with Nihongogo this year and I have joined their site as a staff writer as well. So those who frequent both sites may see some cross posting from me and other Selective Hearing contributors from time to time.

The podcast also returned this year. For those who remember, the original version had a 200 episode run on JPH!P radio. That was about 4 years of broadcasting before I shelved the thing due to a variety of reasons I will not go into here.

It’s back now in a much more condensed format and it is no longer live to air. I have no idea how many people listen to the thing to be honest. I do recall the previous listener count was low (but loyal) due to the air time of the program. And if you are one of the few who carried over from those days, well thanks much for continuing to waste your time. =) If you haven’t given the podcast a go I suggest you do so. Constructive suggestions to improve the program are always welcome.

For the House heads out there. I have been doing my best to keep the monthly house mixes coming on a more consistent basis and I will continue to try to do so in 2015.
