Introduction
The second month of 2026 went by very quickly, so fast that I’m having some difficulty recalling if there’s anything worth mentioning in this recap. But as spring brings renewed life from the cold, so too will activity on the site begin to rise.
Content
There isn’t much to report on this front. Our content for the beginning of the year is slow but steady. Like I said in the introduction, there isn’t a lot of exciting stuff going on right now, being that it’s only been two months into 2026. We’ve been working on posting our monthly featured articles regularly, and so far, so good.
Events
As usual, I did not travel either locally or abroad for any events. As I mentioned in last month’s recap, the only thing I have locked up for certain is Bruno Mars in Vancouver in October. Otherwise, nothing has come my way this past month that would make me want to whip out the credit card again.
Music
Remixes
After a short post-holiday production break, I have returned to my DAW and remixing pop songs. In February, I completed my remix of XG’s HYPNOTIZE.
For my remix, I wanted to stay within the Piano House lane while adding a bit more rhythmic bounce during the verses to create kinetic energy between sections of the song. The final result is a version of HYPNOTIZE that doesn’t explode outward as much as the original and is more anchored. There’s a bit of a trade-off in moving the song into a late-night dance floor reset compared to the original’s peak-time feeling.

Conclusion
Much like January, February was not action-packed. Which is totally fine. It’s best to enjoy the calm before the storm. Pretty soon, I’ll probably be complaining that I’m too busy.
