Introduction
June was a relatively quiet month, which gave me some time to catch up on a few things both personally and for the site. It also marked the start of the World Cup. I don’t normally watch soccer because the pace of the game is a little too slow for my tastes.
I don’t know who the big players are, and I don’t pretend to know what the hell is going on. But I did place a few small bets on certain matches to make them a little more interesting. Let’s say I came close to winning some decent money, but Gamblor wasn’t on my side.
Content
I checked off two outstanding reviews from my ever-growing, never-ending list. The first was a look at Billlie’s first full-length album, the collective soul and unconscious: chapter two. The second covered the kickoff to tripleS’ year-long ASSEMBLE26 project, LOVE & POP Pt. 1.
To make up for skipping a House mix in May, I put together an extra-long April/May mix instead.
Events
As usual, I didn’t go anywhere of note. My concert calendar is pretty light this year, and unless something changes in the last quarter of 2026, I don’t think I’ll be attending as many shows as I have in previous years.
Music
Remixes
I was working on some other projects, so no remixes were released in June.

Conclusion
Halfway through the year, it feels like I haven’t accomplished all that much. Looking back, though, that’s probably better than burning myself out like I did last year.
A lot of my time has been going toward larger, long-term projects that aren’t ready to show results just yet. So while it may seem quiet on the surface, there’s still plenty happening behind the scenes. Right now, it’s mostly a waiting game to see how those efforts pay off over the rest of the year.
