In a surprise announcement, the group revealed that their first full-length album will be released on January 23, 2026. Now, they’ve unveiled the first taste: a pre-album digital single.
“GALA” will be released on Friday, September 19.
“GALA” is a high-energy runway anthem. It fuses futuristic synths, hard-hitting rap, bilingual flows, and driving house beats. The result is a cinematic, performance-driven showcase called “X GALA”. Boldly breaking fashion conventions, the track defines XG’s self-created genre, X-POP—a world where music, power, and glamour collide in one unforgettable moment.

XG’s first full-length album isn’t just a debut—it’s a declaration. Stripping away trends and surface-level gloss, the record dives into the heart of music, identity, and existence.
The album easily crosses genres. It takes listeners on a journey across shifting times and spaces, anchored by XG’s energy and bold spirit. At its core is their unshakable identity—a sound that refuses to be boxed in.
This is the official birth of X-POP, XG’s self-defined genre. The album builds on the belief that good music stands on its own. It captures the most honest reflection of XG yet, while setting the stage for limitless possibilities to come.
In October, XG takes their energy abroad with the CHINA FESTIVAL TOUR. They will perform at the MDSK Music Festival (Beijing, October 2), the Strawberry Music Festival (Guangzhou, October 4), and the Luzhou Galaxy Left Bank Music Festival (Luzhou, October 7).

About XG
XG is a seven-member hip-hop/R&B girl group consisting of JURIN, CHISA, HINATA, HARVEY, JURIA, MAYA, and COCONA. The group’s name, “XG,” stands for “Xtraordinary Girls.” This reflects their commitment to empowering people from diverse backgrounds worldwide through boundary-defying music and performances.
They debuted in March 2022 with their 1st single, “Tippy Toes.” They quickly made history by becoming the first Japanese artists to rank No. 1 on the Billboard “Hot Trending Songs Powered by Twitter” chart. XG also became the first Japanese girl group to appear on the cover of the U.S. Billboard magazine, achieving remarkable milestones globally.
