2022 MAMA AWARDS: DAY 2 Winner’s List and Highlights
‘2022 MAMA AWARDS’, the World’s No.1 K-POP awards, wrapped up its two-night ceremony, bringing to the global audience historic moments in music.
The first day of the ceremony was themed ‘The world we build together’ and was hosted by singer JEON SOMI. Actor Park Bo-gum hosted the second day, the former host of the awards show for three consecutive years from 2017-2019, presenting the night of “We are K-POP.”

2022 MAMA AWARDS: PERFORMANCE HIGHLIGHTS / ACCEPTANCE SPEECH
The second-day performers were as follows: Tiger JK, Jung Jaeil, JAURIM, ZICO, j-hope, Lim Young Woong, 3RACHA, (G)I-DLE, ITZY, TREASURE, ENHYPEN, NiziU, INI, IVE, TEMPEST, NewJeans, Monika (Order of debut)
The second night was opened with a spectacular performance from Jung Jae Il (multi-award-winner composer behind ‘Parasite’ and ‘Squid Game’) X Tiger JK X 3RACHA (Stray Kids). “MUSIC MAKES ONE”
AR effects brought to life iconic stages, including IVE’s “ELEVEN” and TREASURE’s “VOLKANO+JIKJIN+HELLO.”
The night was packed with collaboration performances that can be seen only at MAMA AWARDS – (G)I-DLE X JAURIM’s joint stage delivering the hit songs “TOMBOY and Beeswax angel,” INI X NiziU’s cover of “Snow Flower” and “CLAP.”
MAMA AWARDS also offered many “FIRSTS” – the first performance of ITZY’s latest release, “Cheshire,” and the first broadcasted performance of j-hope’s “MORE + Arson.”
Meanwhile, BTS was awarded ‘MAMA PLATINUM,’ an award to an artist crowned with the four prominent MAMA AWARDS: ‘Worldwide Icon of the Year,’ ‘Artist of the Year,’ ‘Song of the Year’ and ‘Album of the Year.’ BTS, who achieved the honours for three consecutive years(2019~2021).
MAMA AWARD recognized BTS as the one and only artist who created a global cultural phenomenon beyond K-POP, making a breakthrough in the pop culture of the 21c. j-hope said, “This is a significant award for us that will remain in our minds forever,” as he accepted the award.
j-hope called fellow member Jin, who added, “I’m thankful that we were able to receive such an honourable award.”
