DM is the lead song from fromis_9’s early 2022 album Midnight Guest. It’s a funky pop-dance song with a small sprinkling of sweetness to it. In other words, another example of the trademark sound fromis_9 has developed over the past few years is clearly on display.
For my remix, I decided to stick with the original tempo but change up the overall mood of the song. My version has a more driving beat and bass line than the original. However, the overall vibe is more laid-back rather than exuberant.
Unlike other remixes of other fromis_9 songs I have done in the past, this one has a simple structure, and there aren’t a lot of additional bells and whistles to fill out the open spaces in the song.
