Japanese artists AmPm and Shigge collaborate on the new single ‘Stranger Things.’ The dance track reimagines the timeless classic ‘Gypsy Woman (She’s Homeless)’

AmPm has released ‘Stranger Things,’ the seventh single from their forthcoming album themed on global travel. This time the single is set in New York City. ‘Stranger Things’ is a dance track that reimagines ‘Gypsy Woman (She’s Homeless),’ the timeless 1990s hit by Crystal Waters, which has more recently found new audiences worldwide via the sampling scene.

‘Stranger Things’ is a collaboration with Shigge, the Japanese DJ and producer behind the acclaimed electronic music label Yesterday Once More. The garage house style of the original Crystal Waters song has been reimagined and reworked into a somewhat chill sound typical of AmPm, resulting in a must-hear instrumental track that dance music fans will find instantly unforgettable.

About AmPm

AmPm is a masked production duo from Japan who made a significant global impact with their March 2017 debut track, ‘Best Part of Us feat. Michael Kaneko’. The same year, they were the only Japanese artist to perform at Spotify On Stage, a festival in Indonesia hosted by Spotify. In 2018, they dominated stages worldwide, from ULTRA Miami, ULTRA Korea and ULTRA Japan to a headline concert in New York.

In addition to releasing their original music, AmPm has remixed tracks by famous overseas artists such as Afrojack, R3HAB and Nicky Romero, along with remixes for renowned Japanese artists like Gesu no Kiwami Otome (‘Black Parade’) and MONKEY MAJIK (‘Tokyo Lights’), and production for Ken Hirai’s track ‘Holic.’

Furthermore, collaborating with many dance-music vocalists, they have released more than 30 tracks. In March 2019, they were recognized at the Digital Contents of the Year 2018 / 24th AMD Award, winning the Special Jury Award.
