Survivor Series: WarGames 2025 will be the 39th version of the Survivor Series event. It will also be the first time that Survivor Series will be held in an outdoor stadium, hosted by Petco Park. John Cena will be participating in his last PPV on his Last Time Is Now Tour. What can we expect in this year’s Survivor Series?
Singles Match for the Women’s World Championship
Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs Nikki Bella
Allen: I honestly forgot that Stephanie Vaquer was the champion. I have very little interest in this match but who knows, it might turn out to be decent. Nikki Bella going back to the annoying heel is just natural. However I don’t see any major changes happening. I only hope they don’t go back and pull out Twin Magic and we hear BRIE MODE, I will rip my ears off. The winner is Stephanie Vaquer.
Greg: I want Vaquer to win but I think Nikki Bella will take the belt from her so her chest gets even more ridiculously bigger. Also Vaquer chasing will be a lot more interesting television I think.
BigFreaky: “Heel” Nikki is just weird most of the time. Especially when it is just so random. Vaquer has to get the W on this or her title reign will be completely wasted.
Justin: Stephanie Vaquer. I mean, c’mon. I’ve never really understood the hype for the Bellas. I don’t see any way Stephanie loses the belt here.
Singles Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship
John Cena (c) vs Dirty Dominik Mysterio
Allen: It was nice that they let John Cena win the IC title along his pretty weird retirement tour. Now it’s time for him to return the favor and have Dirty Dom win the championship back. I don’t see it being clean though and I believe Grande Americano will come in and cost Cena the match, or maybe a returning Liv Morgan perhaps? Winner and new Intercontinental Champion, Dirty Dominik Mysterio.
Greg: It’s quite incredible to see Dominik Mysterio as part of John Cena’s retirement run. No one probably would have called that when he first debuted in the fed as a boring ass babyface whose only trait was that he was Rey Mysterio’s kid. With that said I think he should beat John Cena Lesnar style. Just whoop his ass prison style.
BigFreaky: I’m not really sure which way to go with this. Cena got that Triple Crown with his win of Dom last time. I like Dom to carry around that strap, it gives him a little extra edge when he shows off with it. Dom has to get the win with some BS happening to lead. I really like the idea of Cena giving Dom a lot of the spotlight on the way out. While it was cool to see him earn the Grand Slam in his hometown, I do think Dirty Dom is walking out with the win and the Intercontinental Championship. John Cena would probably be the first to advocate dropping the belt to Dominik Mysterio who has a huge career ahead of him.
Justin: I really like the idea of Cena giving Dom a lot of the spotlight on the way out. He’s been advocating putting over the new stars on his way out, and we know how bright Dirty Dom’s future will be. While it was cool to see him earn the Grand Slam in his hometown, I do think Dominik Mysterio is walking out with the win, the Intercontinental Championship, and something he’ll be boasting about for the rest of his career.
Women’s WarGames Match
Rhea Ripley, Iyo Sky, Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair, and AJ Lee vs Nia Jax, Lash Legend, Asuka, Kairi Sane, and Becky Lynch
Allen: If there is one match where I feel the heels will win, it’ll be this one. The build up for Charlotte and Rhea getting in each other’s way will probably take us to the next storylines. Maybe Rhea will press Iyo, inside of a trash can, off the top and accidentally hit Charlotte and Alexa. I also feel that Becky will get the pinfall win somehow too so she can find something else Sports Illustrated can talk about. I will pick the Heel Team as the winners.
Greg: It would be great if the heels won. But I think Team Faces are gonna be victorious. It’s just a nagging feeling I have. The match itself should be full of violent goodness though. Iyo’s trash can spot is going to be expected, but how will she execute it this year? And how will the newcomers fare in this type of match?
BigFreaky: This is gonna be a cluster for the ages. Everyone stay away from Nia unless you don’t value your life or livelihood. One way or another AJ or Becky are eating that pin. My wild guesses are always never correct. But I’m gonna have to pick Team Becky.
Justin: It seems like the Heel Team winning this match could set up a lot of future possibilities. And with the way I think the men’s match will turn out, I’ll go with Nia Jax, Lash Legend, Asuka, Kairi Sane, and Becky Lynch for the win.
Men’s WarGames Match
CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, and Roman Reigns vs Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre, and Brock Lesnar
Allen: This one I’m kind of more in the dark on. They threw all the top faces versus all the top heels and expected it to be a giant car crash. A part of me hopes they destroy the WarGames cages throughout the match. Make it look like a disaster. I also hope Cody pulls off a flash kick. I think I’ll go with the Face Team for the win.
Greg: So what’s the over/under on Brock pulling a Titus O’Neal in this match and sliding under the ring as he makes his way into the match? Do we see his bare ass when he tears his trunks? Those are the questions that need to be answered in this match. As for the result? I’m rooting for the Heel Team.
BigFreaky: Fingers crossed for LP to do some dive off the cage and break his neck. Jey gonna do a big dive from the cage?? YEET!! Brock always kills everyone right? How does that team not come out with the win? Team Brock.
Justin: This match is absolutely packed with huge stars. I’m deciding between the baby faces imploding from within as they’ve teased between Roman, Punk, and Cody – or Lesnar not really caring (as long as he gets to throw people around) and sacrifices Logan Paul like he did on Raw. I think there are some interesting directions they could go with the heels winning, but it feels like Triple H is going to go the safe route and let the baby faces win. I say CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, the Usos, and Roman Reigns take this one.
