What Have You Been Playing in August 2024?
- Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
- Street Fighter 6
- Pokemon Go
What Are Your Thoughts?

I am at the final boss fights in this game, and I am at the point of “Fuck this fucking game.” due to the pure amount of time it’s sucking out of my life and the amount of bullshit I have to put up with to finish it. I haven’t been this frustrated with finishing a game since Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. I want to give up and watch the ending on YouTube, but I also don’t want to be a quitter like I was with the Metal Gear Rising game. I will try to finish this fucking game no matter how long it takes me. And no, I’m not dropping the difficulty to do it.

To vent my frustrations with Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, I have returned to playing Street Fighter 6. I was rusty since I hadn’t played in quite a long time. But I got my Juri feet of fury skills back up to par and was decimating fools who dared step to me online once more. I’ll probably pay for the complete season character pass soon since the jiggle physics of Mai are coming next year. So I will have feet, a giant Amazon woman, a creepy poison lady and boobs all covered by next year.

I started playing Pokemon Go back when it was first launched. However, that didn’t last long, as I didn’t want to go outside to catch Pokemon. The changes made to the game in the eight years since I last played have made it much easier for an indoor cat like myself to enjoy the game without having to venture outside too much.
Since I live near a Pokemon gym, I can hang at my desk in my home office and lure the Pokemon to me without effort. But I also play the game conventionally when I am out or travelling for concerts, and I’m finding Pokemon all over the place now. So, after a long absence, I am getting some value from Pokemon Go again.
“What Are You Looking Forward to in September?”

After skipping last year’s edition of NHL, I will probably pick up the 2025 edition. Sports games are easy to pick up and kill time in short spurts. I won’t buy any more games that require an investment of time to finish until I get through Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.
