Event Report: KCON Los Angeles 2022

KCON LA 2022 BANNER

With the COVID-19 pandemic more or less under control, it was announced that KCON Los Angeles 2022 would return to an in-person setting at the Los Angeles Convention Center and Crypto.com Arena.

The convention ran from August 19 – 21 and was not only the restart of K-Culture fans gathering together in one place but also celebrated the event’s tenth anniversary. I had this convention/concert marked in my calendar for a long time and was looking forward to returning to Los Angeles for it.

Unlike in 2019, I decided to participate in a few things such as the artist engagements, hi-touch, rookie concert and general shenanigans on the convention floor to give those interested in such things a little insight about them. The following is my chronicle of how KCON went down for me and my final thoughts on how things can be improved.

As always, these are my thoughts and do not represent those of the other Selective Hearing staff who also went to KCON 2022 in Los Angeles.
