LILAC is the title track from IU’s fifth full-length album also of the same name. It’s a mid-tempo dance-pop track that has influences from disco and city pop.
For my remix, I decided to stay within the same lane as the original as I wanted to play off the airy vibe of the song.
However, I did not want to keep it as light when it came to the instrumental. So I constructed a more club-friendly type of beat and re-created some of the elements of the original song to give it the same kind of groove.
