XG becomes the first Japanese group to enter the US Radio Top 40 chart

The girl group XG has conquered many fans worldwide with its most recent release, the single “SHOOTING STAR,” released on January 25. On Monday (6th), the singers entered the “Mediabase Top 40 Radio Airplay Chart”, ranking in the United States. The girls lead a new generation of girl groups and are in the 40th position on the chart, along with artists like Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and Lizzo.
Soloist JOJI was the first Japanese artist to enter US Radio Top 40 chart. Today, XG became the first female act on the ranking and the first Japanese group. After becoming viral on social media, the girls promoted the song in media in the USA, South America, and Asia, as well as performing in South Korean music shows.
Both songs – “SHOOTING STAR” and “LEFT RIGHT” – entered the Spotify Viral 100 in more than 45 regions, including the US, Japan, and South Korea, among others, an unprecedented act for a Japanese artist.
