2019 Year End Recap: The More Things Stay The Same…

Me in 2019

Well, I can confidently say that this year was an improvement by leaps and bounds. Much of the turmoil that had surrounded my life in 2018 has subsided, and I have been sailing on relatively calm waters this year.

My most significant change was downsizing and moving from a house to a condo. It was great to get rid of junk and figure out what I wanted to take. But, on the other hand, it’s hard to get new stuff and find room for it. But such is life.

Site-wise, it has been mostly business as usual. My review count was up this year was up a bit more thanks to my shifting priorities from J-Pop to K-Pop. I never thought I would go back to being an active K-Pop fan, but with IZ*ONE, I got pulled back in. So it was nice (and sometimes frustrating) to get back into the thick of things again.

KCON was probably just the beginning of getting back into the K-Pop fandom, as I’m sure I will find other shows to attend in 2020.

To close this year’s recap, I would like to thank the Staff of Selective Hearing again. I appreciate all your hard work, effort, and sacrifice of time to make the contributions you make. Thank you very much for everything.

And to our dear reader(s). You know, the 4 or 5 of you who are not bots. Thank you for sticking with us for so long. We hope to continue to serve whatever needs you are looking to feed at the time.

By the time this is published, I will again be in Japan for Wrestle Kingdom 14, New Year Premium Party 2020 and probably some other stuff. So have a safe new year celebration, and see you in 2020.
